We collect the following information through Google OAuth sign-in:
- Your Google account email address
- Your name and profile picture from your Google account
- Google Calendar event data (specifically busy/free time information) to display your availability
- Meeting-related data you create within the service (proposals, votes, confirmed meetings)
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely for the following purposes:
- To authenticate you and provide access to the service
- To display your calendar availability when proposing meeting times
- To send meeting-related notifications (proposals, confirmations, calendar invites) via email
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your calendar data is only used within the application to display availability and is not stored permanently. Meeting participant email addresses are shared only with other participants in the same Meeting.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication via Clerk, and OAuth 2.0 for Google API access. Google OAuth tokens are managed by Clerk and are not stored in our database.
6. Your Rights
You can revoke CoffeeChats' access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account settings (myaccount.google.com > Security > Third-party apps). You may also request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
